Privacy notice
Who we are. Keren Olam HaTorah (“KOH”, “we”) is the controller of the personal data collected through this registration site. Contact: the organisers (contact details on the event invitation).
What we collect. For the person booking: name, email address and mobile number. For each guest: name and, if given, her own email, mobile, seminary/school and area, and answers to any event questions. We also record when tickets are scanned at the door, your communication preferences and technical data needed to protect the site (such as IP address).
Why, and our lawful basis. To manage your registration, send your tickets and event information, admit guests and keep event records — on the basis of our legitimate interests in running a safe, well-organised event (and to take steps at your request). We send future news about KOH events, campaigns and fundraising only if you tick the separate optional box (consent), and you can withdraw at any time.
Under 18s. A parent or guardian, or the adult booking, may register guests under 18; their tickets are sent to the booking contact. We do not ask under-18s for marketing consent.
Who sees it. KOH staff and volunteers who run the event, and the service providers who host this site and deliver our emails and text messages, acting on our instructions. We do not sell your data.
How long. Registration and attendance records are kept for up to 6 years for event administration and Gift Aid / charity record-keeping, then deleted or anonymised. Marketing preferences are kept until you withdraw consent.
Your rights. You can ask for a copy of your data, its correction or deletion, object to processing or restrict it, and withdraw consent at any time — use the manage communications page or the unsubscribe link in any message, or contact us. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
